    Miss me?

... I know a few of you didn't... come on, you can be honest. I had to take some time away from the distractions in life and get myself straight. I got rid of a couple of Jeeps, and pretty much quit the whole Jeep thing other than driving one back and forth to work. Anyway, sorry for...

I demand that you let me break the law!!

So, what are your feelings about protests by our beloved illegal aliens? Just curious. I say it's time for REAL Americans to do a little protesting. We can't afford to send them home? Then how can we afford to continually give them free healthcare, housing, and representation? I would be more...

    President Bush lives in Dreamland!

Nah, Tugs a democrat and this problem revolves around money, he would just make it worse.(no offense tug) The oil companies make what, 9 cents profit on a gallon of gas? The federal government makes 18.5(?) cents per gallon through taxes. My state collects even more than that. Where are the...

    NEED HELP!! Engine Identification!!

Without knowing the history of the engine it's going to be tough to ID positively. The 444 at the end of the block code indicates an 80/81-90 year model. The aluminum valve cover would indicate that it's a 87 and newer, but valve covers are easy to swap around. I can't remember if there are...

    4 Door Wrangler

I have to go with Sparky on this one. That's just scary. I wonder what's next? A dvd player would be nice for the kids...

    A Couple of Vettes

A bet having to crawl from one end of that limo to the other makes for a wonderful night out on the town, especially for any poor evening gown attired women who find themselves stuck in that thing:rolleyes: As for the other pic... I would assume a closed casket ceremony? I hope there...

Dirtbag, nah - that's too nice...

It would never happen, but getting thrown in general population at any maximum security prison would insure that this animals last days were spent in far greater agony than we could legally inflict on him. He's a real(for lack of a better word) muslim, and not the gentle "I saw the light and...

    Is regearing necessary?

My TJ has the 999 transmission, 3.07:1 gearing, and 31" tires. While it's not exactly a rocket, it's really no slower than it was. Offroad it acts the same as well, but slightly taller gearing often helps with my type of wheeling, so results may vary on that one. The gearing is too tall to begin...

    Stock Steering Box

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying. So just to clarify, you don't need to do any disassembly to adjust the gear mesh in the steering box. The adjuster is external.

i hate ppl (actually only vandals)

I will sit with mine before I'll leave it on the side of the road overnight anymore. I've been in that position before, and just left it in the mud until the next day......it's safer. I've pulled out a couple of abandoned trucks that the owners had apparently left so they could go get help. It...

    Squished XJ

I've looked at the pics three times now, and each time I notice another giveaway that it's fake. None of them are really big standouts though if you weren't looking for them. I just don't have enough interest in it to put up the effort to get good with photshop, but it always makes me want to...

    Stock Steering Box

Yes there is an adjuster screw on the box. It changes the mesh of the gearing. Don't tighten it too much. Refer to your manual for exact instructions I had to adjust the manual box in my 93 YJ occasionally.

Dana 44 - do I really need it?

I agree. Doesn't sound like a D44 is a "must have" item at this time. Truthfully, to spite EVERYTHING you will read in magazines, it might never be one for you. Spend the money elsewhere until you hear it go pop.

    newbie...flex questions

Is the problem simply that you have no flex, or are the springs really too stiff? How does the ride compare to say a factory sprung Jeep similar to yours? Almost all lifted Jeeps are a little stiffer or bouncier than a stocker, but it shouldn't be excessive. A cheap 4" leafspring lift is going...

    Goodmorning my beloved TJ

Chit happens. I know it sucks, and revenge would be so sweet, but just shrug it off and move on. Find comfort in knowing that it will catch up to them eventually. Never any destroyed tops or windows, but I've had so many things turn up missing in my Jeeps over the years that I almost get mad at...

    I Love my Wife!

I can't compare the two only by quality. OME is awesome quality, but I wouldn't put that stuff under my Jeep. You shouldn't have any problems with 3.5" of lift and the four banger drivetrain. I'm not trying to sway you or anything, just don't be scared of a little more lift. That extra inch of...

    'Ello y'all

They will ALL get you divorced. I'd sure hate to see you on here crying about your two upcoming court dates......criminal AND divorce:lol:

    I Love my Wife!

I guess it's just the tightwad in me, but I hate to see anyone spend money to have a leafspring lift installed. That's eeeeaaaaasy money for a shop. Just think about it some more before you line up someone else to do it. Either way, I'm glad you're finally going to lift it. I know you've been...

    Squished XJ

That's pretty good other than the roof rack. It's smaller than the roof and located more to the rear in the first pic. In the second pic it's about the same size, but located more to the front. In the last pic it's the same size as the roof. On a side note, it would be a neat little rig if it...

    What's up Jeeperz?!?

Hey all, long time no see. Sorry I haven't been posting lately, but I've checked in when possible just to somewhat keep up. All kinds of stuff has been going on lately..... Anyway, I'll be hanging out here again as much as possible, and I just wanted to give fair warning;)
