    control arm?

Are you a Democrat, Republican or Southern Republican I haven't heard it in awhile, but the biggest complaint about the RE XJ kits used to be that the control arms sucked. I know of two that switched back to the factory arms after maybe 6 months and another that was in desperate need of new...

    Gas Tanks

Mine have always had the smaller 15 gallon tank. I think a quick way to tell is if the space between the gastank and the spring is equal on both sides you have the larger(19 or 20 gallon) tank, and if the space is different you have the smaller tank. I think that's what it was anyway :?

    Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8

RE: Gas Tanks It only sits 1" lower than a normal GC :? Have any of you looked at the new GCs? The regular version is the poser, not this one. This one's purpose is clearly stated and it can deliver on it's promises, not so for the big bad offroad version. 20" rims? Go look around the...

    Research

RE: H3 Bulbs It was built to help win wars. Since then it has served as a farmhand, mail truck, police vehicle, camping vehicle, racer, cruiser, offroader......it's just the most versatile vehicle in the world. It doesn't matter what you call it. By todays standards, maybe it is better...

    4.2

The factory computer is going to go nuts if you install too big of a cam. Comp makes a decent cam for the FI six bangers, but it doesn't really have that radical lope that you're looking for. It's close to the factory duration but has alot more lift. The long duration and big valve overlap of a...

    350 in YJ....what trans?

RE: Busy Weekend Chevrolet has(or had) two different V6 configurations. The smaller displacement engines, like the 2.8L used in the early S10s, were 60 degree engines. The 4.3L like you will find in later 4wd S10s have a 90 degree cylinder layout like the V8s. This is the one you need. It will...

    Hey, Mingez!!!!!!

How far away? You and a buddy should go act like you want to look at it, just so they can snap a pic of you sitting in it.

    Nice video

RE: Re: When is "Enough" really enough, huh? That's "hill in the hole" racing. That's all that you can find around here anymore. The SWB rigs have a disadvantage there. *you gotta love redneck chicks

Dealership is trying to pull one over

Re: RE: How much of a motor mount lift is needed for a flat Hold on now....as much as dealerships cling to the fine print of those warranties...... Screw them. The warranty company siad it wasn't needed, and they knew you had the warranty. It's their responsibility. I've already gone through...

    Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8

I'm into it now...... I like it. I kind of subtract points from the new GC because of the whole platform sharing deal, but this is one positive of it. It's nice to see Jeep joining in on the horsepower war that the manufacturers are apparently getting into. This will no doubt be a popular...

    TJ GEARs

If it's got 3.55 or lower gears in it already, you won't need to change the carrier in the D35 to run a 4-series gear.

    Busted rear shock mount

I understand what you're saying Craig, and I'm not trying to argue with you, but.....that means you had the wrong shock size for your setup. You should have been running some extended bumpstops or different shocks with the 31s, now with the 33s your fenders are acting as the bumpstops.

    got my DUI today!

RE: Radiator Stop Leak The DUI should have come with some extra springs for the mechanical advance inside the distributor. Play with those. Second thought is the Weber. They only work right for about 15 minutes after you take them out of the box. Try fattening the mixture up a little...

    Radiator Stop Leak

If you happen to be the 1 in 5 that it really works for, it's still not a good idea. I don't like it. It doesn't just stay in the radiator, it goes through all of the cooling passages in the engine too......and I just don't like the idea of that. I've never heard of the radiator shop that I...

    98 Grand Cherokee Limited 5.9

It's the 5.9L Dodge engine. The standard V8 in those was the Dodge sourced 5.2L, which was a 318. The one year only 360 cubic inch engine is it's big brother. Nothing really special compared to the 318, just bigger and more powerful. They are snatched up pretty quick and usually go for what...

Where to Mount a Hi-Lift Jack on a YJ?

I wasn't being a smartbutt and saying that the hood mount is for showing your jack off or trying to look "hardcore", if it sounded that way. I could see some of the Jeepers that run around my area doing it for that reason though. The hood or cowl is a nice place if you don't have room inside or...

    Busted rear shock mount

Huh? What you talkin' bout Willis? If you're breaking shock mounts and it's not because you're ripping them off on trail obstacles, you have the wrong sized shocks for your setup.

How to fit a big block into a YJ?

There's a local mud racer here that runs an aluminum headed 730hp(without the nitrous) stroked Chevy BB in his YJ.....on a race prepped 1 ton drivetrain with 44" Boggers. He's fast. There was a guy around here with a Samurai that had a 454 in it, but I haven't heard anything about it in a...

RE: neubie help The BDS spring packs aren't bad. You don't have many more options that are going to be big step up..... Rubicon Express, Skyjacker,....ummm....a set of custom packs? I don't know of anyone who has reported being unhappy with their RE leaf kit, but I can only speak from second...
