    Gearing opinions

The other thing to consider is that you may want to change your bearings while you are there. A lot of offroad shops like mine will add this into the price of setting up ring and pinions because it is a logical thing to do. Most places that set up a lot of ring and pinions won'r even give you...

    Springs wearing out, recomendations?

Avenger Carb. or Fuel Inj? Go with the BDS you won't be disapointed, The ride is great and the warrenty is better. I sell a ton of these kits and have never had a complaint. I have tested the warrenty, when a customer jumped his jeep and wrecked a spring. They sent in a new one no charge and...

    custom long arm

Washington Capital area Jeep club. I have done it with heim joints and found that they did not hold up. I now use the Daystar poly flex joints, they are very strong and have not given me any problems. The geometry is pretty percise, even with adjustables you can run into problems. Think it...

    33x12.5 Tires

There are many options out there for getting the amount of lift that you will need, Yes you can do the body lift and the spacers for about $200.00, but you will also need to figure out how you are going to use this jeep. Are you more into offroading it or are you a concrete cowboy? Are you...

    changing rear yolk seal

Even with as many as we put on in our shop I would never put a yok nut on with an impact gun when tightening against a crush sleeve. If you over tighten it you ruin the crush sleeve and possible the bearings. It's not worth it. The crush sleeve will be adjusting your back lash on pinion on...

Sorry for the confussion, was type quick and transposed the t and the e. The SJ was the full size Wagoneer. As for the the welded spiders I've seen it work for some and not for others. It depends on there welding skills, and if not done well it can cause a lot of damage fi the welds break loose.

Need help picking a front locker...

The lock right is not a quite locker, but the no spin is. It costs $200 less then the detroit locker and unless your running a v8 you should be fine. If you don't mind clicking noise at very slow speeds then save the money and get the lock right. We have a lot of people running them in the...

    installing a Quik-lock locking rear?

The quick lok is a private lable brand of the lock right. It is sold by 4wheel parts if I remember right. It is a center replacment. Drop the spiders and replace with the locker. The axles will need to pulled back about 3" so you can rebuild the center of the carrier inside the diff. It's...
