    mount hi-lift?

Here is a pic of how I mount mine. I agree that hi-lift maint should be a thread to get started. Those things can kill you if they are not working right. They can save your butt if used properly. ~Curt

Beuna Vista Co 4th of July Weekend

Below is a link to about 375 pictures. They are all thumbnailed and split into about 4 or 5 pages. It probably is not very dial-up friendly but I tried to get a bunch of pictures of scenery as well as wheeling and the campsite and our antics while we were out there. The pictures are from three...

I have a friend that is being stationed at Ft Lenerdwood Missouri. He is used to wheeling out here (in the rockies) and is wondering if there is anything like it out there or if anything is close by or if he should change his rig for mudding/street. ~Curt

    too much water

Take a look and see if the splash guard that goes around if front of the motor. If it is gone the distributor will get hit by water. Then check the seal on the distributor cap. I had the same probs with my 88 when I first got it.

How long have you been on jeepz?

I am pretty sure the joined date over on the left is correct for me. I bought an 88 xj and needed some help with some tech stuff. Got some great support and info here and have hung around ever since. I have been wheeling since the early 80's either in my own rigs or in the ones that I had...

I was able to do the same thing with mine. I am willing to bet that you have some other stuff going on. Mine was doing the exact same thing. The CPS was getting metal fillings on it (it is a magnetic sensor). They were from the starter gear going bad and flipping around from the flywheel and...

If they are the same size and type as the stock tires I agree with this. If not do what I posted above to find the correct preasure to run them. ~Curt

    MT/R tire pressure

The best way to get your tire preasure correct is pretty simple. Get some "sidewalk chalk" and take your jeep to a level flat spot like a parking lot. Cover about a 12" - 15" setcion of the tread with the chalk and roll forward until the tire has made about 5 or 6 revolutions. Make sure that...

    Bad Water Spots

Use kerosene and a match! Then get a bikini-top! j/k I have used CLR applied to a rag in very small amounts to remove spots from glass before. It works well, just make sure that you wear gloves and don't get it on anything else.
