    '04 Rubi pro's and con's

Thanks for all of your input good or bad. I picked up the rubicon last night bone stock, well as stock as a rubi is and I am really happy with it. Time to go to work on it now. Bumpers, winch, disco's, long arm lift and some 35's are in the near future for it.

    '04 Rubi pro's and con's

I am looking at getting a new Jeep. I am not going to get rid of my XJ. I like it to much but it needs work and will probably wind up a trailer-queen when I am done. I have been looking at the 04 Rubicon. It will be a daily driver, back and forth to work (9 miles one way) and will hit the...

Smart money for a 3" XJ rear lift

Old man EMU spring packs are the best if all you want is 3" of lift. They flex really well and you can add shackles to it later when you decide not to modify it anymore with another 1.5" or 2" more lift.

    Driveshaft Issues...

exhaust manifold leak Hi Nick, My first question to you would be what is the intended use of the XJ once the lift is done? If it is to go out and do some serious rock-crawling or heavy off road use I would not drop the T-case at all. Clearance is a major issue for people that do that. I...

The covered Bridge in Jerrico Md is Haunted (I'm scared)

I grew up in northern Baltimore county. I used to go there every year at haloween. Was a lot of fun and spooky but I never saw a ghost. :(

Rusty's 3" lift - Add A Leaf kit vs Full Spring kit

I used 1.5" shackles when I had the 3.5" springs. That lined everything up really nicely. No binding or vibration from anything in the rear end.

Rusty's 3" lift - Add A Leaf kit vs Full Spring kit

Add a leafs cause a lot of problems and are nothing more than a patch or quick fix. Replace the leafs completely and fix the problem right the first time. If you want to lift it go for it. The Rusty's kit looks like it is nice and a lot of people on the board have it and can lead you better on...

    I know it's nuts but, how do I lift a pop-up trailer

Agreed, I do not need the weight distribution at all with the XJ but it does provide a great deal of anti sway at the same time. I just pulled the trailer from Ft Meyers Fl to Colorado with a windstar. It needed the weight distribution. The anti-sway it provides was really nice on the road. I...

    Ultimate JEEPZ.COM Trail Ride

Right now I am waiting for responses from 6 land owners. I am pretty sure that all will be okay. In the spring/summer they always let Jeepers go through but I want it in writing before I head out with a bunch of vehicles. Hotels and gas stations need to be contacted. Personally I don't want to...

    I know it's nuts but, how do I lift a pop-up trailer

It has leaf's, and a SOA would get me about 3" to 3.5" of lift. That really isn't enough for what I would like to do to it. It has these little tiny tires on it that are supposed to run at 80 PSI, I am not sure of the size but a standard car dounut would be huge in comparison. They have no tread...

    I know it's nuts but, how do I lift a pop-up trailer

I know this is crazy but... I was given a pop-up trailer/camper and I want to be able to (1) tow it with my XJ (that is lifted 6" with 32" tires) (2) take it off road (not go rock crawling with it) just get it onto the trails (3) not destroy it in the process of 1&2 It has a set of tortion...

    Leaking Coolant

I would replace it, the pump is not that expensive and if you are going to take off the old one to do the gasket you might as well replace the pump. Since you are in there and are going to drain all the fluid I would also replace the thermostat and the gasket on the housing it is in. It never...
