Could you pass the 8th grade?

i think it has made us lazy. we're not necessarily dumber. i absolutely see the points behind you saying calculators and spell checkers and that stuff, but at the same time, realisticly, we're not going to lose it. and if we all of a sudden lose technology because of a devastating event (human...

smarter than you though? you don't think the bill of rights is one of the most amazing documents ever created? who do you think wrote that? just cause we have more technology today doesn't mean we're smarter. progression takes time.

a cheap 2" bb will allow you to run 31s or 32s no problem. would allow for some good wheeling. and if you're not into wheeling, give you a more aggresive stance if that is what you're going for. 31s are extremely capable if driven correctly, trust me.

    New toy!!!

if you have a 97+ it's probably an HP30, which is stronger than an LP30 by a bit. also, what size tires are you planning on running? 6.5" would allow, 33s easy, 34-35s with some trimming. i only ask because if you get up into the latter range, your axles and gearing will be next to useless...

def recovery and armor first. front and rear recovery are both key. skids for the t-case, gas tank and radiator are a good idea. they can be found cheap/used at a boneyard, but the stock gas skids arent too strong. and don't EVER pull off the sway bar or axle, terrible idea. if you absolutely...

i've got a '96 grand with 139k miles. any problems that i have with it are a result of me beating the p!ss out of it, not bad engineering. i have the 5.2l v8, but i don't have the factory 249 case anymore as i swapped it out for a 231. i've driven plenty of the last style too (99-04). i like...

    Well...I sort of blew it.

by flat i mean flush with the dash. and then just pick the overlay up ever so slightly on one side, enough so you can slide the needle through the hole while the other half of the overlay stays flat and you run it underneath the needle.

    Looking tot buy, need help

how much is said jeep going for? it better be a hell of a deal to buy it with a different motor, with 120k + on it, rebuilt everything, and 180k on the jeep itself? i'd definitely keep in mind that there's a reason for all the repairs and assume the jeep has seen better days.

Wrangler is THIRD cheapest to own!

thing is, if they're talking about energy costs to build them, all the tree-huggers with their hybrids (i use tree-huggers with all due respect, kinda) dont care about that. everyone is like hybrid! hybrid! hybrid! and not taking into consideration all the costs to make and dispose of. they just...

    Well...I sort of blew it.

uhhh, i'd say no. a separate, aftermarket tach is easy enough to install. the factory wiring harness for your jeep will likely not support a tach if it did not come with one. might help if you tell us what kind of jeep and year we're talking about here, unless i'm illiterate and missed that...
