I'll check the potted vacuum. I only hooked that up quickly to make sure the gauge was working cause I couldn't find a manifold vacuum to save my life. Finally found one.

Just a thought. I haven't done the nutter bypass yet. Could that be the issue?

I put it back to 800 rpm and about -22 and she runs better. Better off the line but still spudders a bit. Could it be that 850rpm at -8 is correct and my carb is way out of whack?

    Computer bypass 2100 changeout

Could it possibly be that it should be at 850rpm and -8 and my carb is so out of whack? I put it back where she was at -22ish and she has much more pick up but still spudders off the line occasionally. This thing may drive me to drink earlier than usual.

Ok. Did that. Timed to -8 @ 800 rpms. Run like dog crap. Idles ok bit when I start to give it gas she bogs down immediately. I didn't even get out of the driveway. Vacuum gauge still reads 19 at idle. She ran better at -20ish.

Ported. When I increase rpms, I have vacuum. How do I turn this dist cap. Is it the two bolts next to the vacuum hook up?

Whoa!! Got a vacuum reading. Approx 20.5 at idle. Still need to time it though

    Computer bypass 2100 changeout

Ha ha ha ah ha. My current timing at idle is off the chart. I would guesstimate @-24. Throttle up and it's worse. Can't get a vacuum reading to save my life. Only ported vacuum will read on the gauge. What a wonderful Friday. I have a cracked exhaust manifold, will that affect my vacuum...

The c clip was attached to the bar the connects to the butterfly. It helps if you have the choke hooked up to positive and not negative. My dumb ass was working in poor light when I hooked it up initially. I can put a washer behind the linkage bar to extend it. Check yours when you get it though.

Yea, I have voltage. Fixed the spark problem. Won't even tell you what my dumb ass did. Have to figure out if the fast idle adjustment screw is suppose to butt up against the choke linkage or not. Mine currently does not weather is screw it all the way in or all the way out. It just starts to...

Starting from the beginning. This picture shows the set screw pass side below the choke. It does not touch the linkage that engages the flap (breather I think) on top the carb. Problem? I noticed a spark this morn when I reved it and also noticed the flap does not move at all. I found why it...

    Computer bypass 2100 changeout

If this is how my day will start I might as well pack up my tools and go back to sleep. I "t"Ed off the pcv vac line, fired her up and it reads "0" at idle and with a rev. I double checked my dist vac line like you said last night and it does have suction with higher rpm. Am I missing something?
