My brother had to use several Novack adaptors to put a 292 into his old military jeep truck (67 M715). Everything went smoothly, and when he needed a little help, he just called and they cleared things up. for what its worth... gunner

The truck in the first two shows was an older J-10 series. It's sweet. The truck in the series is a late 60's a Kaiser M715, a military model. It's sweeter... Check out the M715 link that someone posted earlier.

About a year and a half ago I took my 78 CJ5 completely apart - I mean completely - engine, body, axles, stripped it to the frame. I found out I had a broken motor mount and a rusty gas tank. I read somewhere that all jeep owners should get an intimate, working knowledge of their jeep - but...

I went with 1 inch - less modifications (clutch linkage, steering shaft, gas-tank hose). In any case, it allows a bit more tire clearance. Personally, I wouldn't go any higher - but it's your rig, but the higher your go, the more you'll need to lengthen things

1049616 I had that problem with some bolts on my thermostat housing - it turned out that the threads were flattened out in the hole - i had to drill it out just a bit and re-thread it. It's not that hard - if your lucky its only the bolts that have the threads messed up... [addsig]
