i had the same thing happen to me about 2 years ago. couldnt figure it out till the guts of the cat blew out and clogged my muffler which then blew a hole in the side of the muffler.. i did the cheap fix a 40 seris flowmaster and no cat..

with the cold air intake efan and a cat back you will also pick up some fuel mileage. i would also look into a header. get one made for mid range power. it will help the low end and also help the high rpm power also.. after those mods i would look into a good mid range cam

i ran a stock driveshaft with nine inches of lift for about a month till my slip yoke eliminator came and my new custom driveshaft. but for anything under 4.5 inches you will be fine. you may have install a 1" transfer case drop but thats all.

you can run 33's with a 3 inch lift if you arent afried to cut the fenders.. you really dont want to go much over 4.5 with short arms the ride qualty goes to crap and it wont flex at all.. another option is get some front drop brackets and use the 3in springs and 3in spacers. the drop brackets...
