    GPS

I have a Garmin ...................Uh?? $169 Something little green. It has a 8mb download capability, but I have never used it. It works greats. Last time I used it on my bike it shut off by itself twice. That has me concerned but haven't look into whether I set it up wrong or if it is having fits.

    YJ?...TJ

Congrats on the choice, after all you're the only one that really matters. AZ?? Your mean AR?? I could handle a meeting that close. I too only wheel to have fun not to break schtuff. Sometimes my balls are bigger then my brains or my Jeeps capabilities. But it's always fun. But best...

    Safe Stowage

HEHEHEHE, SOLDIER OF FORTUNE!! That's funny!! Not really me, mainly more like a boy scout. Always prepared. All the things in the jeep are needed when you out 4xing. The Glock, well you never want to use it. But it is worse to not have one when you need it. After all I wheel in the back...

    YJ?...TJ

Right on, right on!!! Tennessee Pinstripes, I love it!!! You are one of the few, the proud, a true member of the Jeepers seal team!!!! I'd be panic struck if I trashed something I paid that kind of change for. Hence the old CJ. Personally I bent the bows of my soft top leaning on trees to...

    YJ?...TJ

Just to keep the pot stirred................... (But rememeber I am only playing here and having fun, nothing personal) That challenge means you follow me anywhere?? Through the trees?(better remove those flares oh never mind your too wide. I will get them off there for ya.) How about under...

    YJ?...TJ

OH you mean someone with 25-30K in there CJ can't come and play?? Wouldn't that be fair???? How about a $1500 dollar beater, are they welcome?? SOME HOW, I knew those comments would get someones goat. SUCKERS!!!!!! I "personally" am a CJ fan. (Duh!!) And I would personally destroy a TJ...

    Safe Stowage

Corona is carbonated. Pack it with crushed ice and margraritta mix and viola!!! Turn on a little Jimmy Buffet and life is gooooooood!!! I used those pvc tubes in plumbing, they work great. I like the idea for extra storage in the back. I have thought of one for the "V" on the roll bar, but I...

Only getting 13 gallons out of 15 gallon tank

Mine does the same thing and it will flat run dead at 13.2 gal. Trust me..... I haven't been inside mine yet but suspect someone else has and screwed up the pick up tube. Or the reserve part of the pick up is clogged.(Do they have that?LiIke a motorcycle tank??) If so, I never knew. I...

    YJ?...TJ

I would stick with the 94-5 YJ. The TJ has a lot of front end problems when lifted. And hasn't proven to be superior on a trail no matter how flexie they look in pictures. :D :D If you keeping her stock the TJ is the best. But you can hardly lose with anything 94 YJ and up to present...

    Help! Name this busted part...

It's cheap and was ment to be somewhere, replace it. Without it stuff tends to drag or not resest itself. Prematurely wearing pads or throwout bearing. Probable won't notice it any time soon but I would still get another back in there.

how to get more power at highway speeds

70?? Try 55-60mph Jeeps like it there much better. Unless you have tall tires and or gears 70 is screaming. Not to mention scary in any CJ series. I have a 79 with 31's and 3:73's and T-18, 60 is perfect cruise. The engine redlines at 4200 hundred running at 3+ isn't doing it any good...

    Ford 8.8" rearend question....

Hmmm I doubt it. I don't have any conversion experience, but I have worked at Ford for three years before. You should only need to adapt the e-brake system, maybe the brake line fittings, yoke, and add some new leaf perches. :?: How are the lug patterns?? And the standard width?? I might...

    Clutch/Transmission Issue - HELP!

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh, Start looking for a trans. Convert it if you can afford it. Rebuilding a nightmare will just be a smooth nightmare until it is ready to rear its ugly head again. The way this transmission is built/designed makes no sense. It can not possibly work correctly for long.

    Safe Stowage

Negative arch!!! I simply got a couple of long 3/8's bolts, sleeve's (off old shocks) and drilled them in the rear fender walls of my CJ. The Hi-lift lays across the rear cargo area securely behind the roll bar. A couple of bungies hold the handle and foot from rattling my brain. This also...

    Black Diamond Lifts

I just bought a BDS lift also real cheap. So hopefully cheap doesn't always mean cheap or crapy. The black diamond is mereely a Rancho lift. They started another section for extreme duty lifts (IE: Coil spring suspension lift conversions) Then the idea spread or at least the name did. So at...

    Help with Hi-Lift jack

$970 for steering gear box too much??? Hi-lifts hurt or kill more people a year then we care to know about. ALWAYS: chalk your wheels!!! ALWAYS: insure the jack in on sound hard ground. ALWAAAAAAAAYS: fear it and never let your guard down. Always: Lift from a strong body point. And insure...

    need help forethwith!!!!!

I would stick with a 180 degree and adjust your fan temp setting down a bit. Is your a adjustable temp ste up a prob that sticks in the radiator fins?? Or is it a sender unit that screws into the rad or manifold? The universal ones that stick into the radiator fins tend to be bit cheesy. If you...
