    syncromesh transmission fluid?

OK I have heard enough good things about this stuff to be interested. Not that I am a believer of miracles in a bottle. But I have been shown the light on a few things. So should we toss this in the tranfer case too? And is it a full 80-90w replacement or just an additive? NOW,......... if it...

    TJ won't engage front axle

Thanks guys, like I said I was stumped because it made no sense to me. If it has NO hubs, No switching mechanism at the differencial, then the drive shaft HAS to spin with the axle. And is simply disengaged at the transfer case. (Very 77 chevy full time 4x4-ish with a slight twist) But here is...

    Who's the "Durabak" Guy again???

Thanks for the replies. I figured out the guy I was thinking of was a line-X rep, not durabak. I have used Hurculiner and loved it. But I am trying very hard to not use black. I will need some on certain stuff but not the entire floor of my tub. That would just be insanely hot. I guess I will...

    TJ won't engage front axle

I sure didn't feel that I was far behind anything mechanical but I'll be damned if I could answer this simple question. My buddies TJ won't engage the front axle. Oh that's simple, I popped under the axle to show him. Well I saw nothing, nada, zilcho..................How in the heck does this...

    bds suspension lift

Shimming the axle would "HELP" the angle of the rear drive shaft back towards the normal pitch after lifting the Jeep. And being a CJ the stardard (Don't know the degree #) for a four inch lift should be perfect without any ill effects. I understand the YJ has a slip yoke that can't handle axle...

Body mount and engine mount question.

I just order poly engine mounts since my fan ate my radiator last summer. Not mention I have this mystery "gunking" sound that is about to drive me nuts. Hopefully this kill two birds with one stone. I also have poly body mounts and haven't noticed anything different then when I had oem rubber...

    bds suspension lift

Yes, your brake lines will have to be replaced. As far as the transfer case drop, does you rear leafs have shims?? If so then you won't need to drop the case. I would personally angle the back axle before dropping the case. Why go up just to lower something back down??

    Who's the "Durabak" Guy again???

Hey I was all set to get some Hurculiner and you mentioned durabak. Honestly a product I had never heard of before. So I went to the web site and Holy Cow!!! The same or better, cheaper, and offered in a ton of colors, and some smooth coats to boot!! AWESOME!!!! The question is this. Can I...

    "50 cent G-unit jeep"

Am I the only one that noticed his $31K Jeep is next to a mobile home???? Reminds me of the Arkansas Joke of "Arkansas' first lottery winner" Shows a Brand new limo parked under one of those $600 pop up car ports in front of a old single wide. Disclaimer: I am not some rich guy either and I am...

    lift kit for 82 cj7

4wd problems I don't want to start a "what's better war" But I would put BDS WAY before Rancho lift kits. I have owned to rancho lifts and now have a BDS kit and I love the thing. Much much much better and cheaper too. Just my .02

    lift kit for 82 cj7

About 2-300 will get you a one inch body lift and one inch shackle lift. For about $420 shipped you can get a real lift with shocks though. Body lifts and shackles are easy to install provided your not in the rust belt of the country. Lifts are little harder but worth it in the long run. But be...

Camo Jeeps, the next step in hunting and Jeeping....

I used the flat krylon "camo" paint they had/have at Walmart. It is ultra flat and hasn't been the slight bit of an issue to wash. And we have that stain everything orange mud too.

Camo Jeeps, the next step in hunting and Jeeping....

Slightly off topic, help I am not a hunter nor a big fan of the liberty, but man is that one saaaaaaaaaawwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet camo cherokee!!!! We have a place here in Arkansas called War Eagle (mainly boats) that does camo jobs like yours. How much did your ride cost to have...

    New mod jeep pics!

Sully those are looking so sweet. Two awesome jeeps for sure!!!! I just stuffed a set of 33 MTR's on this weekend. I was blown away how they ride smoother then either my old tire set, and my set of new BF AT's on new rims did. (Both were 31's) I have 3.5 inches of lift but haven't flexed it...

Boy those Kumho's are causing us impatient guy a lot of grief!! I too have been trying to find them. I fell into an extra 2 bills and my wife had to actually coax me into the MTR's. I have wanted a set since they were just being tested. But my anal cheap side couldn't live with the price tag...

    GOT TO ASK THIS QUESTION

Hehehehe good question. I tend to stick to trails not rock gardens. YOu can wheel any way you want. Some people don't understand the "it's my daily driver thang" Or that your not some silver spoon fed type. I always hold my own when I wheel with others. I never subject my Jeep to anything that...

    Brake line extention question.

I would rig up a carb spring to the hose. This will keep it back were you need it and stretch when it has to. You find all types of light weight springs at HOme depot or auto zone stores.
