    New Jeep Willys Edition

I Dooooooooooooooooon't like it. I understand the thought behind it. But it merely is a play on the real jeep of the past to entice more sales. Harley Ford truck........ It's not a real tribute. Unfortunately they can't make a real tribute anymore. Too much "Safety" and "Convenience" stuff.

    Stubborn Torx bolts #%@&!!!

I lived for 30 years in South East Alaska. Rust capitol of the world!!! 250 days a year of rain. Sitting on the ocean,3-6K foot mountains directly behind you, and winters last 6+ months. Ford penatrating spray, BG Nforce, or PB blaster are best, let them soak and respray them a few times. Also...

    Electric or Flex fan

I am with ya on what alternator for our CJ makes a good swap. I am going with the electric fan option myself. I already peeled open my radiator with my fan. No water needed. Under 13 volts ain't good at all. You might need to replace your alternator anyways. Might at well upgrade before it...

    Another Stall Out/Idling Question

Those carbs have so many pain in the ass problems. Save your money and your mind and upgrade to injection. Cheap to full blow 4.0L conversion, they are all head and shoulders better then the best carb. Or start studying and become a great carb diagnosis guru. It isn't hard to do with just jeep...

    Lift Spending Advice?!

BF AT's are an excellent all around tire. Especially in snowy country. They do grab rocks and tend hold em tight. But I have had them on many, many rigs, and many others and these are the best for all a round.

    Lift Spending Advice?!

Re: Finally lifted Beer and buddies with tools are WAAAAAAAAAAAAY cheaper then that. Heck spend half that, road trip here and I will help ya. I did mine in 3.5 hours. Plus it sounds like you spending a tad much on the lift alone?? My 2.5 was only $420 w/shipping (Jersey to Arkansas) Usually...

    Windshield Down?

Great question for mail call!!! I bet it is for storage or shipping steming from the original GP's. Not to mention they could sneak under tons of stuff with it down. No roll bar no windhield. Just "DUCK GI!!!" I use mine once in while, mainly farting around in the yard with the daughter, or...

    suzuki samurai

they are kinda cool. They need a lot swapped out to be real reliable in the beating category though. They tend to constanly break things when you start playing hard or adding larger tires. Now if you had a spare 83-84 toyota 4x4 laying around with good running gear then they rock!! My...

Cheap lift or real deal? Tire Size?

Terrible ride stock?? How about a TJ?? Heeehehehehehee Shackle lifts stink, a one inch body lift isn't bad though. But usually lifts are cheaper for 4 inch VS 2.5's. Check out BDS, Mind you I have only 20 miles on my lift so far, but it is damn nice. I wouldn't have believed it until the guys...

    Whats required for 33x13.5?

I'd personally skip the wide soft lug tires, which saves you the hassles and the money. But if must you will probably strip a axle in your AMC 20 if you wheel it hard. So you'll need a one piece axle set up. And possibly cut a triangle piece out of the inner fender on the fronts. Mainly for...

    Got her lifted (BDS)

My 31's haven't failed me yet. But if it's deep ass mud, they 're BF AT's. so I am screwed no matter how tall they are. I do have a set of chrome module wheels that are 10x15's so 33's could be mounted and used when I go play though??................hhmmmmmmmmm. Like I'd ever take them back off...

    Wheel Bearing Question??

You should have it if I am correct from your discription. You need to remove the hub from the spindle. Take a dead blow hammer and beat the snot out of it (The end of the hub) at 12,6,3,9 o'clock strikes. It will slowly rock itself off and the rear bearing will be hanging out inside of the rear...

    CJ Wheel Base

How wide do you need it?? It would be cheaper and easier to get a set of rims with a better off set.

To down shift...or not to down shift?

The only time you'll see brake lights on my rig is when I am worried about you not stopping in time without some warning. Otherwise it's engine braking. I almost never, stop without down shifting. That's what makes a T18 so cool. And we ain't gonna hurt it by merely down shifting.
