ok. i am officially an idiot. never looked at the block casting , just assumed it was a 318 cause was told the all adventurers came with them...BUT never thought it might not be the orig engine. its a 360 NOT a 318.....cool huh !

you bet. i never took her "under" but i splashed through the deeper puddles without a 2nd thought. the rubber gasket on the bottom and the rubber cap on top had the wing nut bolt through it to snug her down. the rubber sleeve allowed engine movement while staying snug.

i made a snorkle set up for under $30.00. use a pvc floor drain kit and 3 in pvc pipe. trim the base to the shape u need and flip the drain over your carb and seal with silicone gasket. efi skip the drain an use plexi for a box .

got some jeep time in 2 day to fit the combo up. all the drive shafts are perfect length ! the t case shifter moved back a little. might just cable shift transmission too.

snorkle was made from a pvc drain. i cut the center to match a steel ring and flipped it to form a dome over the carb. a hole saw in the side for the pvc tube and a rubber end cap on the top to hold it down tight. i made a rubber sealing ring to fit it to the 2150. about $25.00 tops and it...

cut off 1/4 inch of the 231 input collar and re-drilled the 203 adapter to fit the 231. have the wiring ready to convert to mopar/gm from the jeeps. next hurdle is motor mounting and some pipes ! but all has gone very smooth so far. everyone ready for national topless day on May 8th ...

motorcraft 2150 .no extra lines , hoses n crap costs $25.00 for a boneyard carb and a $15.00 mr. gasket adapter plate an no more problems on at idle or steep inclines...gets better milage too...........

ok found alot of info on 318 swaps on some other jeep sites. the fact is its doable and not as costly as some fear. (bought truck junked it and got a 25 dollar profit to start ) my motor and transmission were both shot so i'm ahead this way. i,ll take pics if anyone is interested.
