A question on drilling through the floor

If you plan of off roading your jeep through mud/water ect. that's probably the worst place you could mount an amp.

    Fold n Tumble rear seat

The measurement from rear wheel well to rear wheel well across the back on the inside of the YJ is almost exactly 36".

    Fold n Tumble rear seat

Since the side brackets for the seat mount to the sides of the wheel wells on the inside of the jeep, your CJ wheel wells will have to be the same distance apart as a YJ's for it to work.

    Starting Problem

Had a similiar problem before. It turned out that the + cable going from the battery to the starter was corroded underneath the sheilding. The cable looked good at both ends where the connections were but when I peeled back the sheilding the wire was almost corroded in half.

    Spiritree

Happened to a friend of mine. It turned out to be a cracked cap. The crack would expand as the motor heats up causing it not to run. After it cooled off the crack would close and it would run again.

I have a couple of pictures for you if you still need em but they are too large of a file. Have to resize them.

    springsssssss

YJ/CJ springs are completely different than TJ springs. YJ's and CJ's use leaf springs where TJ's use coil springs. They won't work.

A little HORSE power i would like

I don't think exhaust alone will give you what you're looking for. You'll need to do intake (cold air), TBS, headers, exhaust and mabye a chip to gain any real noticable difference. Then gears especially if you plan on running larger tires although you won't notice too much of a difference with...

    Fold n Tumble rear seat

I leave mine on for those idiots who like to ride my bumper in rush hour traffic.....you wouldn't believe the damage a hitch'll do to the car that rear ends you.

    Which shock to choose.

My local off road shop is having a sale on Rancho shocks. Buy 3 get one free. Can't decide between the RS9000X, RS5000 or the new RSX. Haven't called on prices yet but I'm sure the 9000's will be very expensive so it'll probably come down to either the 5000's or the RSX. Opinions?

Does anyone else think Bestop is total CRAP?

Have you tried clamping down your Sunrider on top of the bikini channel? If so, does it squish it, cause wind noise or leak water? I just picked up a bikini top two weeks ago and am going to try leaving the channel on when I clamp down the front of my Sunrider.

    Stinking Windshield

Don't you tie it down when it's folded down? I've never folded mine down but figured it would bounce around when going over bumps if it's not tied down. Don't feel bad. I forgot to latch my hood down last summer and drove away only to have it fly up at around 80 kms/hr. Had to replace the hood...

Does anyone else think Bestop is total CRAP?

I love my Bestop Sunrider but can't say much for their customer service when it comes to replacement parts for their products. The zipper on my driver's side window is torn and they don't even have a replacement part they can sell me. You'd think that there is so many insurance claims and people...

    Alaska

I have friends who work in the oil fields up in northern Canada close to Alaska and they're making huge $$$. One friend who has been there for over 10 years and has moved up in the industry is bringing home over $300,000/year (Canadian). They tell me that a lot of the guys there go into camp for...

    My first attempt

Can't get the video to work. I bought Pinnacle Studio Plus about a year ago. It's the best editing program I've used since I'm new to editing and it's very easy to use. If you search around on the net, you can find the serial numbers to open up other features of the program that you would...

Is anyone using a rollbar tie in kit?

The windshield frame mounts and the seatbelts all stay the same. All it does is tie in the two rear points and the two middle points of the rollbar to the frame. I can't see it strengthing the rollbar all that much. You would still have no rollover protection around the windshield frame area...
