99-04 Grand Cherokee Husky Floormat liners

I have a complete set of husky floormat liners from a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. They are tan. I know they fit my 02 jeep, but Cabelas says they will fit 99-04. They cost $250 new. I'll let them go for $130 to your door in the lower 48 states. Includes liners for front floor, back floor, and...

02 Grand cherokee with broken heater fan -- have codes, now what?

both fuses were good. Can I just plug a freon canister in and see if it will fill enough to get the compressor to kick on, even without the clutch engaging? Is there a way to test the transducer switch, or is it just easier to change it out? Is it located on the top of the compressor?

is there another fuse I should be looking for beside the relay in the pdc? I didn't see anything on the list for the main fuse panel under the dash. I don't know how to fill the freon if the clutch won't kick in. Doesn't the AC need to me running?

02 Grand cherokee with broken heater fan -- have codes, now what?

Good idea, thanks. They gave my money back on the resistor. There really should have been a recall there. It's not right that practically every Jeep owner has to replace it due to the faulty design. Their redesigned resistor module with the ridiculously huge heat sink shows that the first...

02 Grand cherokee with broken heater fan -- have codes, now what?

I think I've demonstrated that I know that I'm talking about here :shades:, just kidding. But I seriously don't think I screwed it up. I'll try to explain that I wired the old one up correctly twice without problems, and it's not color coded. So I must know what I'm doing to some extent.

02 Grand cherokee with broken heater fan -- have codes, now what?

OK, this is messed up. I replaced the fuse, wired everything up, the blower was spinning, but it didn't sound right. It sounded like it was sucking. But air was coming out of the vents. Now, there is no way I could have screwed it up. On the resistor block connector splice, I connected...

02 Grand cherokee with broken heater fan -- have codes, now what?

OK, I checked the fuse in the PDC, and it was bad. I replaced it and the blower is blowing. But now it will only blow on the floor. It won't blow out of the vents. Error codes are 52, 53, 55.

02 Grand cherokee with broken heater fan -- have codes, now what?

OK, so the old connector upgrade is obsolete. The new resistor module now has a massive heat sink. See photo with side by side comparison. (old on left new on right). To do the upgrade you also need an adapter kit. The par #s are 68052436AA and 5179985AA 420D (about $100 total) I did the...

02 Grand cherokee with broken heater fan -- have codes, now what?

Well, I replaced the connector, and the blower is blowing reliably. The housing for the resistor block was melted much more badly than I had thought. I suppose I should replace the resistor block. I read on wjjeeps.com that I should check the current draw on the blower and see if it is...

02 Grand cherokee with broken heater fan -- have codes, now what?

I thought it was odd, but I measured the battery voltage straight across the battery. I am going to pick up the replacement connector today. You don't think I need to replace the resistor or the blower motor unless there is visible heat damage?

02 Grand cherokee with broken heater fan -- have codes, now what?

Finally some progress Ok, the weather broke and I was able to get something done. I really yanked on the 3-wire connector going into the resistor block and finally got it out thanks to a pair of Robo-grips. The outside two wires were melted. I checked them with the multimeter and the...

02 Grand cherokee with broken heater fan -- have codes, now what?

it is the box next to the firewall on the passenger side with a red and black wire and a wire connecter with three wires (this is what is melted). The safety tab was gray, and I have removed it. There is also a spring loaded push tab, that I am pushing, but the wire connector still won't budge.

02 Grand cherokee with broken heater fan -- have codes, now what?

OK, had to put a new starter in the jeep after the MOPAR starter died, 13K miles after I had it put on at a jeep garage and found that it had a 12k warranty.:x Anyway, back to the heater. I still cannot get the plug out of the box. The end of the saftey clip is burned, so I am pretty sure...

02 Grand cherokee with broken heater fan -- have codes, now what?

Now I have a bigger problem . . . My wife said she drove it all day and the heater was "fixed." I still never got the wire connecter out of the controller box. I got into it, turned it around and parked it. Then I went to start it up again and IT WON'T START!!! I don't know if this is...

02 Grand cherokee with broken heater fan -- have codes, now what?

OK, I'm on a rain delay. When I jiggled those wires, the blower came on. I took out the two screws holding the controller in. Then I took out the grey retainer holding the wiring harness in and I tried to remove the wiring harness. There is a little plastic thing that I am pushing, but I...

02 Grand cherokee with broken heater fan -- have codes, now what?

Is it the little box that is held in with two silver screws and has the three wired connector going into it? Right against the firewall?
