    transmission choice question

The axles is not an issue right now. I have the jeep tore down to the frame. Pull the rear end and the gas tank, and it will be just the frame. I just fiqure if I am doing it, I will regret not making the change now.

Thanks for the info. Forgive me for my ignorance, but are saying that I can use the same transfer case? Also, I have a pair of solid Mosier axles if I decide to keep the Dana 20 rear. I am wanting to upgrade to a Dana 44 wide track.

Tell me what to look for!!!

The way I look at it, if I am buying a whole vehicle, then I want one that I...

    Heater

All though it was not on my jeep, coolant systems are pretty much the same. I just had this problem on my 94 chevy truck. I had a couple of leaks in the system. One around the thermostat housing, the other in the heater hose. They were dripping on the engine and turbo (hot) so I did not see...

    Jeep accident

Tell her that you are willing to compromise. You feel you need a full cage, she does not. So.... tell her that you are only going to put a cage on your side. Show her the pictures. I think she will them vote for the FULL cage.

That is cool. I thought nobody made them anymore. Not priced to bad either. Not much more for what they go for used when you can find them.

    You would think....

You would think that somebody out there would start making some CJ5 hardtops. Yes, I know that there are not as many as they used to be, but... they would not have any competition. I know I would look at one.
