    STARTER ISSUE -1996 Cherokee Sport

Tell me about it... I'm definitely going crazy! Starter is not covered in oil... cleaned it off when I removed it for the test (not that it was bad anyway). Replaced the battery terminals as they were pretty corroded, but still have the same problem of no starts. I was hoping that may have...

    STARTER ISSUE -1996 Cherokee Sport

I started it this morning with no problem and drove it to the front of my house. After running in to get my stuff, it would not start up again in P or N. To answer your question, it is sporadic and doesn't always start (regardless of being in P or N). Thanks for the advice re: the NSS...

Grandmother just gave me her beloved Jeep... a manly shade of teal. 125K - nothing but problems so far. $300 = New heater control valve, hoses, clamps, etc. $1100 = New head gasket, radiator, belts, thermostat, coolant flush, oil change, etc. And now it won't turn over (NO sound).

    HELP - 1996 Cherokee Sport

Absolutely nothing... the battery is live because the key reminder is buzzing, but the engine doesn't even try to turn over.

    HELP - 1996 Cherokee Sport

Hi all... this is my first post on the forum and I'm hoping for some help/reassurance. I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport that was given to me by my Grandmother and therefore I have all maintenance records and know that it was a one owner vehicle (it is a manly shade of teal). I have been...
