    Motorcraft 2150a

I know this has been beat to death in other posts, but I don't want to patch together this info from all of the different responses. I tried googling a vacuum diagram for my particular setup but didn't find what I needed. I have a '72 Commando with a mid 80's rebuilt engine, no pollution...

    Taurus fan upgrade

These fans are known for moving more air than any other easily swappable electric fan. I have them for my Commando and Corvette. Fast, cool, and quiet.

    2011 Wrangler Brakes

When you say a bit of pressure, how much is a bit? Are you an Olympic leg press medal holder? Are you applying even pressure over a period of time and the pedal continuest to travel to the floor, or are you applying increasing pressure to the point that the pedal then travels to the floor...

85 Grand Wagoneer loses power while driving

What do you mean by it giving a little whine? When the shop tried to jump it, what wouldn't it do? Would it not turn over at all or would it just not start?

85 Grand Wagoneer loses power while driving

How did they start it the next day? Gave a little whine? Like the fuel pump pressurizing (is the '85 in tank?)? Sounds like something is overheating...the battery dying won't recharge itself after 20-30 minutes of just sitting there, and the alternator doesn't self-heal either (at start, the...

    Clays 87 wrangler project

You should have grabbed the fuse box, too. If you check the pin-out you will have "extra" and/or "missing" pins (depending on if you are checking the cable or the fuse box). The options that the donor vehicle came with will most likely be totally different, and pins will need to be relocated...

    95 yj exhaust leak ?

A lot of vehicles do not come with the donut from the factory. Everything is fresh and new and as long as it is kept in good shape (literally) you won't need a donut. However, since 'wheeling requires a fair bit of vibration, twisting, stretching, etc., the donut is a good path.

    Snake

Copperheads are not "common" but not unheard of in Tidewater, but don't get nearly that large and don't need to. I saw two in ten years there. I've seen cottonmouth that big when canoing, biking, kayaking etc. You usually give them a wide berth.

    98 Wrangler running hot HELP!!

Watch your hoses when it's hot...they are probably collapsing. Classic for your symptoms.

    amp power wiring

Never heard of a cap draining the battery. If there is no current draw, the cap is seen as an open. But, the Optima yellow top would be a good bet if you went that route...there is always more than one route. If hum turns out to be a problem due to the oversized and/or parallelled wires, a...

    amp power wiring

Since you are running a dedicated line straight from the battery, might as well mount up a cap for that line from the get-go.

    heat reduction flooring

JC Whitney and Jegs both sell some great heat blocking matting. I used the adhesive spray they also sell to stick it down. I used that in my Commando and it worked great. I lived in VA in the summer and had the same issue. I didn't need the truck and road heat adding to the misery from above...

    Cat Converter replacement

I fell into that situation when I lived there many times. If the inspector is a real stickler the universal will fail as well because it is not OEM. Don't ask me why it makes a difference, but it's in the inspection guide. That's why Big Al's, Merchants, etc. will only use OEM type...

    MC2150 swap

Yeah...true. This is a swap to get rid of the Carter. I bought this carb without fully understanding that there were different types of 2150 carbs. This one has the electronic feedback air circuit which I need to figure out what to do with.

    Carb upgrade..

Well, I am headed to Washington state, so it will definintely have the choke. It's already set for cold weather now. I think I will run it with the bleed open for now, and then re-adjust with it blocked off and see which way yields a better power/mileage trade-off. The intake for the bleed...

    Carb upgrade..

Unfortunately, I think, I got the 2150a. Apparently this was for the Bronco II and has the feedback circuit with the electric solenoid. I may have bought more headaches for myself by getting that carb. I am confident I will figure out a way to get it functioning correctly and still be tons...

    MC2150 swap

Can someone please direct me to a thread or tell me what to do with the electric feedback solenoid on a MC2150? I can't find much info on what others have done, and the searches have too many threads to sort through. Block it off, leave it on...? This goes on a '72 Commando, so I have no...

    Carb upgrade..

Hey...I bought a 2150 off of eBay a while back and am trying to fit it on a '84 258. Problem is the adapter plate doesn't match with the bottom of the carb. One entire section is wide open. I can't imagine it is supposed to look this way. Another issue is the clearance on the power valve cover...

    AM Radio

That's a little extreme for me at this point. I was more or less looking for a bezel that would fit the radio and fit in a DIN hole and look fairly stock, maybe a chrome surround. I don't know if the Jeep radio is standard size, so the kits that are available might work if it is. I was hoping...

    AM Radio

I bought an original AM radio for my '72 Commando, but the dash was cut for a DIN unit. Does anyone know where I can find a pre-made piece I can use to put the original radio in that looks somewhat decent? I know the original fit right in the sheet metal, so that isn't going to happen. I...
