    help my charging system

    I have a 94 yj, 4.0 with a charging problem. I can't find a short in the system and have a new altinator and battery. The computer is spitting two codes. Short in charging circuit and air temp sensor voltage too high.is it possable that the sensor could short out the charging circuit?

    i put a 87 cherokee 4.0 in my 94 yj but i had to swap heads(with manifold intact) and cranks....my problem was the pilot bearing wasnt the same, all in all, either way you go you should be ableto swap it....the mounts are probily the same...they were for mine

    go to the autoparts store and compare intake manifold gaskets, if they are the same then just swap heads....it will save you time and money

    as for removing the whole shifter you need a screwdriver to press the clip in on one side then slightly pick up on it. Then go to the other clip and do the same thing, keep working them and they will come free

    take an adjustable on the bottom washer then put a pipe wrench on the ball then turn. It doesnt take that much pressure.....i had to do the same thing about a week ago

    I just did a 4.0 swap in my 94 yj, i used a 87 4.0 from a cherakee the problem i ran into was that the 87 was an amc motor so i had to swap heads and cranks.....more trouble than what its worth.     So i was wondering what axels to use in my 94 yj. I want to extend the wheel base without using wheel spacers, but i also want something that will stand up to the rigors of rock crawlin. Any ideas?
