I change out mine. Fairly easy. Just take your time. You can add the clutch pedal to the existing brake pedal without removing it just be patience doing it

What is the best oil weight for the transmission I use 85 and when it is cold it is very hard to get into gear until it warms up. Sometime it takes a few miles

Is the bracket the same type. newer models used 2 bolts and I think the 81 used a flat Allen keys type bolt. If it is a Allen key then they used an earlier bracket . Probably broke the original one and got one from a junk yard.
