I always put in the cheap stuff,(87 octane). It's all I can afford here in Phoenix where even the cheap stuff is $1.59 a gallon!!! :roll:

I had the same problem, all the fluid leaked out and ran down the inside of the firewall. Had to get a new slave cylinder. Didn't notice it until i pulled the floor mat out and saw the carpet was soaked. Good Luck --Neal

Make sure the gas pressure regulator is not leaking. Had that problem. Gas was spewing all over the place, luckily there was no fire! --Neal

I had the same prob with my '97 XJ. Took it to the dealer and they claimed they fixed it ( 3 times). What had happend was whomever had the Jeep prior to me used a lot of fuel injector cleaner and destroyed the injectors. Also the mechanic pulled the gas tank and and drained it only to find an...

yeah a very simple repair--- no probs, it'll take the better part of an hour and a half. Don't pay someone else to do it,(might as well pay someone to change your oil too) :lol:
