RE: XJ... can it tow my YJ? I had the same problem and my top was only two years old. Try adjusting the part of the zipper you pull on. The part that the teeth enter . Mine was spread apart just a little hence not locking the teeth, pliers should do it. Just givr it a little squeez Hope this helps.
