Can anyone tell me if the auto shutdown relay will trip if the crankshaft postion sensor is damaged. The problem is my jeep will not fire. I have checked the codes and they are 11, 12, 24, 42. The CPS has been damaged by the flywheel and I plan on replacing it but I would like to crank my jeep...

:lol: After 5 days of being totally confused by the squeeling sound coming from the bellhousing of my 97 TJ, I finally located the source. The crankshaft position sensor was touching the flywheel. I don't know how this happened but after replacing most of the parts in the bellhousing I was glad...

The transmission imput shaft turns freely, with no noticeable wobble. As for the pilot bearing, I slid it on the imput shaft before installing it , and it seemed to be the correct one. The clutch is the one out of my old engine.

1076369 I just purchased a 1997 TJ with a blown 2.5 engine and I was wanting to replace it with another 2.5. I want to know if all 2.5's with MPI will interchange with the 1997.[addsig]
