Got me some rearend, it's a Dana 44 in a 67 CJ. Don't know what year it is, but it has 2 piece axles. The hubs are hurting at the key and keyway areas. 1) hardened hubs available? 2) one piece axles available? I've been an AMC 20 man up until this last quest, so am not well versed on this...

Found the problem... We have a 79 CJ-5, 4" suspension lift, lots of engine and braking power with 35" Swampers on 10" rims and want to put on 38's. We want to fill up the wheelwell as much as possible without any more lift. I plan on minor asthetically pleasing sheet metal and flare trimming...

A bit 'o info first - bought a 77 CJ-5 V-8 3 speed brand new in 76 which has been out of commission since 84 (wrecked with 32,000 miles on it) - just bought a 79 CJ-5 V-8 4 speed POS this year - 75% of the trim and mechanical parts on the 77 are in better shape and are getting switched over to...

2 questions for ya'll 1) need a 4 or 5 speed manual transmission for a 77 CJ-5, 304, Dana 20 transfer - what is the heaviest duty unit that will bolt up to the 304 and Model 20 with or without adapters? It needs to have a syncromesh 1st gear and no "granny" ratios (a 4.03:1 ratio is OK...
