    Lift Kit experiences

I have read most of the old threads on lifts and still cannot make up my mind which one to buy. For around $500 shipped (give or take $30 or so) I can get Rough Country, Hellcreek, or Rustys. Am I correct in understanding that all three of these are essentially the same Rough Country lift, but...

Need help deciding which Jeep to Keep

Hey guys. I've got 2 Yj's and sadly I need to get rid of at least one of them for now. One of them is a 1989 (carb) 6 cyl Laredo Hard Top with 170,000 miles. I just got it back from my brother, and while it was gone it has developed a "click click click" ing noise somewhere in the drive line...

    Starter Removal

Does anyone know what size/type bolt holds the starter on a YJ? I got one of the bolts out with a 12 point socket (3/8" if I remember correctly) but the socket just slips off the other bolt. I think what I need is called a reverse torx socket. Is this correct and what size do I need?

    Jeep Died - Any Ideas?

Today I drove my new (1990 4 cyl) Yj for the first time other than around the block or in my yard. I drove about 10 miles and it stalled. No Problem, I start it back up. It proceeds to be very difficult to keep running. I make it the final 100 yards to my destination and shut it off. It starts...

    Center cap rattle

I have another wheel question. One of my rim center caps rattles, but the rim is tight on the Jeep. Is it ok to put a thin rubber gasket behind the centercap to make it stop rattling? If it isn't, is there something else I can do to make it not rattle?

    Axle shaft nut retainer

I think that is what this part is called. It is outside piece on the front wheels with a cotter pin through the middle of it. Is this supposed to be loose fitting, snug, tight, or what? If I need to be more clear as to what I am talking about, please ask.

Help Me! Ford Rims on a Wrangler???

I was told that Ford and Jeep rims are interchangeable, so I got the bright idea to swap tires and wheels from my Ford Ranger which has all-terrain tires to my Wrangler which has street tires (for obvious reasons). When I mounted the stock Ranger rim onto the Jeep, it was a little snug fit...
