    Home made mods.

I havn't had a chance to put any mileage on the suspension yet; I had thought about trying to put a sleeve through the frame but wasn't sure how I could do that and outboard the springs at the same time to allow for the Dana 44 front end to fit. I trimmed the fenders considerably and installed a...

    need engine swap info badly

To swap engines you will need to install/weld in new motor mounts. Other than that it should bolt in. Honestly I wouldn't install a 258 though, there are plenty of other engine options out there. 4.0L from a newer Jeep, 4.0L stroked to 4.6L, Chevy Vortec V6, chevy 350, amc 304 and 360, etc. The...

Where to buy a new ECU/Computer?

Anyone know of any good online companies that rebuild computers? I've had back luck buying used computers and honestly I just don't trust autozone or kragens to properly rebuild or source a rebuilt a computer.

I was wondering why it was so tipsy...

Sway bar? I remember when my buddy broke his TJ's sway bar in the exact same location and he continued to drive on it until he had it fixed. I would still drive it until it gets fixed, just drive accordingly (no quick maneuvers or turns). I ditched the sway bar on my CJ years ago, but i expect...

    Pinion Angle question

Procomp makes a variety of degree shims for leaf springs, just check summitracing.com or ebay. You said the RE shims worn out? Shims are not a moving part, I'm trying to picture this but don't really see how this would happen unless the u-bolts came loose which could cause a whole mess of problems.

    Looking for a jeep

I have purchased vehicles before where the owner had lost the title. The owner filled out a DMV duplicate title request form, signed it, and had it notarized. I used that in place of a the title when registering it and two weeks later received my new title in the mail. There may have been a $20...

Where to buy a new ECU/Computer?

Does anybody know where to buy a new engine computer for a 1994 Jeep 4.0L m/t? The dealership quoted me at $540...I would usually prefer the dealer for this type of part but $540 seems outrageous. Are there any good sources for quality rebuilt Jeep engine computers besides the dealership? Also...

    lift shackles???

Heavy duty shackles with moderate lift (1/2" or 1") aren't a bad idea imo, but I wouldn't go any bigger. Having a longer shackle can actually increase suspension articulation if you have longer lift springs, which is why Rubicon Express includes 1/2" lift shackles with their 4.5" CJ lift kit...

Goodyear Wrangler MT/R vs BFG MT KM2

Does anyone here actually have experience with the new MT/R with Kevlar? I would expect the new tread design to do better in mud than the old MT/R.

    The right lockers

Definitely a selectable locker then. ARB air locker, OX Locker, Eaton E-locker. If you want to save some money you could go with a limited slip differential, but you wouldn't get the same performance offroad.

    Oversized spare tire carrier.

There is a guy on ebay that sells heavy duty bumper/tire carriers in the $200-$300 range, I bought mine from him and it is at least as heavy duty as anything Warn makes. It took about month to get here, but it's a good option if you don't want to drop $500+ on a bumper/tire carrier.

I like my Magnaflow a lot, combined with a header and cam it has a nice deep rumble but not so loud it's annoying.

    Fuel PSI question

PSI should be around 40 I believe. Disconnecting the regulator should actually increase fuel pressure, I would keep it connected to avoid damaging the pump or causing a leak. There is a number of things that could be causing your Jeep to die; what engine codes are you getting from the check...

    Fuel PSI question

The ECU controls the fuel pump via the ASD relay which in turn controls the fuel pump relay; several sensors give input to the ECU to control this. I would try replacing the fuel filter, and if that doesn't do the trick then hook up a fuel pressure tester to see if the fuel pressure is the problem.

Shackle reversal, should I do it?

I would do it, I reversed the shackles on my CJ7 and never looked back. It will ride and handle MUCH nicer, especially on bumpy dirt roads.

Shackle reversal, should I do it?

What springs are you planning to use? A shackle reversal works best with arched springs, sometimes guys use sagging YJ springs when they go SOA and the springs actually go into a negative arch when compressed. With a shackle reversal, the change in suspension geometry will push the wheels...

[Pics]My Jeep is wrecked... can this be fixed?

Jeep vs car: Jeep wins (well, usually). I agree with everyone else, time for an aftermarket bumper and gas tank skid, and have a good shop inspect the frame on the other guy's dime.
