    help a little girl?

Yeah my 2000 TJ did that as well, I sold it before I could find out what was wrong with it. I did the whole smack the dash thing and that did cure it for a while. Probably in the wiring harness like someone else mentioned. Give your dash a little tap next time it happens.

    Smells bad!

Thanks for the advise!! I just had a new exhaust put on, and had them turn the pipe to the side but it is behind the tire, not in front of it. I only have a muffler and a resonator on the exhaust.

    Smells bad!

I just bought an 83 CJ7 and the exhaust smells like gas and, well... exhaust. More than usual though. I know a few people who own CJ's and thiers dont smell as much as mine. Every time I drive it I have to change clothes because Im saturated by the time I get home. The Jeep runs and idles...

    More power!

Re: North and South Man, I just want more power. Can it really be done without a v8 swap? What do I need, maybe a new catback, K&N intake and a chip. Is that all I can do for the most part? And would all that increase power as well as fuel economy? Thanks!

    Possibly a wiring issue?

RE: Re: RE: Stupid ground hog I was driving when suddenly the speedometer and tachometer guages quit working. The engine light and the airbag light also came on. I initially thought the alternator was dying and I was loosing guages and power. That is not the case. The Jeep runs fine. The...

    getting new tires tomorrow, help

All I know is that the larger you go in tire size, the slower your Jeep becomes and the engine and transmission will have more strain on them. Unfortunately I have no experience with a 4 Cyl so I dont know if it will handle the 31's fine or not. Hopefully you will get some more replies. Good luck

    was this a wise choice?

here is the whole story. something was bent on my stock d30 and my camber was noticeably off. i bought a used d30 with 3.73 gears to swap out my front axle. i bought one with a 3.73 because my stock 3.07 wasnt cutting it with 33's. I was told by a majority that a 3.73 would be sufficient for...

    was this a wise choice?

Re: RE: Questions To Ask Yourself Today A shop told me I had to get a different carrier for my d35 in my 2000 TJ to go from 3.07 to 3.73 ratio. He quoted me around 80 some odd dollars for an open carrier and 230 some odd dollars for a limited slip. I said go ahead with the limited slip (or...

New to the Jeep World, Have some Questions

I agree about those bfg all terrains. if you are not going to do any serious off roading those are great tires. ive had them on 2 of my vehicles. If you want mud terrains, Pro Comps are great for the money. 15x8 wheel with 33's are a very common setup. As far as the lift goes, I put the 4"...

    safari tops!

If I bought a Bestop Safari top would I be able to leave that on and then throw my hardtop on. It would be nice to take the hardtop on and off without having to mess around with the safari top. Thanks!
