I'm looking at either the skyjacker 6in rock-ready lift or the rubicon express 5.5in long arm setup for my '01 TJ. Anybody have any experience with either or opinions on which one to go with.

Does the rubicon front dana 44 use a normal gearset or is it like the dana 30 which uses a shorter pinion.

I run a front locker and the ability to unlock the front hubs would be helpful. I'm looking at the 5x5.5in setup since i've heard the 5x4.5in isn't recommended for over 32in tires and I'm swapping up to 35's. If anybody's running the 5x4.5in hubs let me know how well it works.

Anybody have any experience with the 5x5.5 hub conversion kit for YJ's and TJ's. What brake parts would I need to get to convert the bolt pattern on both ends.

What's the story with the rubi dana 44. I've heard some people say they're not worth it. Am I wasting my time (and money) or is this axle really worth it?

I've got an 01 TJ and I run 33x1250 BFG A/T's on 15x8 rockcrawlers with 4.5in backspacing. The fit just fine, especially since I had to run 6in wide flares to keep it legal.

I managed to score a bare rubicon front dana 44 housing. Just wondering what parts, if any I can swap over from the dana 30, and is this just a simple remove and replace or am I overlooking some inherent flaw? Thanks for any help you can give.

I had a problem like that on my 01 TJ. I bought wheels and tires from 4wheel parts and got the 15x10 rockcrawlers with 3.75in backspacing for my 33x12.50's. Even with my 6in flares they stuck out about an inbch too far (which is a problem in Hawaii). I ended up getting a set of 15x8...
