Getting wiring away from right Header

My mentor for automotive back in the '70's always said to me if you can't get it figured out, have a beer and come back to it later. Kind of a variation of "Everything works if you let it".

Getting wiring away from right Header

Very nicely done, I initially hung some wiring from the Grill support as well, but with all those ground wires, it became too unwieldy.

I stopped by the local hardware store today and I'll test fit and get some more large convoluted tubing to clean this up tomorrow.

Here's what my wiring looks like right now; and my latest idea is to use rubber insulated wiring clamps; these would help keep the looms higher on the fender and be impervious to vibration, unless I can think of something better.

Hi Gang, I was running on about the no start on my Jeep but this may call for another thread. I have all of my ground wiring running right next to the dual battery tray along with control wiring for the dual Radiator cooling fans and other. I once suspended all this wiring with zip ties to the...

WOW! Those TSL's look to have the same tread patter of the Buckshot Wide Mudders of old.

Help identifying wires and a harness

Mice or rats seem to have gotten to this wiring. Much the same occurred to the Wehrmacht during the siege of Stalingrad. When the Luftwaffe bombed the hell out of the city the rats all scampered to the warmth of the Panzers, nibbling on the cloth insulated wiring for their nests. This of course...

Well, I Thought I had access to the Blue Streak Starter Solenoid, turns out it was compromised, I have another one arriving in the coming days though.

    Black Betty no start

Most of that wiring were ground wires going to the ground bus bar on the firewall. It took a little doing but I now have the Starter Solenoid mounted on the lip of the dual battery tray. I was able to revert back to the Blue Streak Solenoid and now I have easy access if something goes wrong.

    Black Betty no start

After reinstalling the carb and setting the Air Screws 'Black Betty' fired right up. :) Next I've got to remount the Coil, there's a mass of wiring where it normally goes from the scabbed in Ford PDB I used to wire in all of the accessories.

    Black Betty no start

Yep! Just as I suspected. The Float settings were way off. This'll be the last time I use caliper conversions for Float settings. I also went with conventional needles as the "off road" ones were a little sticky. If I have time I'll remount the AFB and see what happens.
