    jack up the front and check for play in the tire...indicates worn wheel bearings. i put new ones in mine and had a world of difference...i also has 1/8 in play or more!!

    huh?!?!? is the distributor somehow slipping??? i had one that would lock up and swing around but never heard of one adjusting doing that. do you have the self adjusting timing sychronized distributor system (SATSDS)???? :lol: dude i give :confused:

    when you timed it did you unplug the vaccum line from the distributor advance and plug it? and rev it up to the proper rpm for timing, i believe 1600 or 1800?

    Thanks, you were right, it as actually the manifold gasket and adapter gasket were both pretty worn, replace them and adjusted the jets down to reduce fuel and now runs like new. Thanks

    Recommended tire pressure

    I have 34" super swamper ltbs... I had them at about 35 psi and the tires were wearing out in the middle more than the outside... this indicates too much air pressure...if the pressure is too low it will wear out the outsides of the tire more... i dropped mine to about 32 and am getting a little...
