    Removing Wrangler Logo

It just occurred to me that every one is mentioning pinstripes, so maybe you are thinking that I was asking about the stick on lettering. The logo on my 89 tub is one of the hard plastic badges. So is it the same story, heat it up, pull it of and remover the glue residue?

    Removing Wrangler Logo

So do i pry off the logo and then use the heat and finger nail on the goop? Or do I hate up the whole logo and then pull it of? Sorry, its early and I pushed the wrong button on the coffee maker so clarity is still about 10 minutes away.

    Removing Wrangler Logo

I realize that this isn't a very technical tech posting, but... I came across a near perfect YJ tub to swap on to my CJ and I want to remove the Wrangler logo from the quarters with out wrecking the paint. Hints, tips or suggestions?

    Cj tub mounting bolts

I am asking this early so that I can be prepared when i get to it. I am swapping out my CJ tub for another CJ tub. (No I wouldn't rather swap for a YJ tub.) The "new" tubs body to frame mounting bolts are shot (bent, striped etc..). Does anyone have any experience with replacing them? Such as...

    choke..too much or too little

Well, I adjusted the choke and the Cj turns right over and now warms up faster. About 5 minutes of idleing and away we go. In defense of the carter carb, with it rebuilt and now tuned it provides a smoth dirve and suprising kick in a motor with 151K miles behind it. I think it will do just fine...

    choke..too much or too little

So far so good. I didn't mess with the timing as it is dead on with the under-hood sticker. I did turn the choke back so that it is now set four notches rich and he started right up and sputtered very little at the beginning of my test drive. I think I will let him stay as is for a few mornings...

    choke..too much or too little

On these cold winter mornings the old jeep takes a few cranks to turn over and then idles fine. When I take off down the road he sputters until he is nice and warm about three miles. Is my choke too rich or too lean? Timing is dead on, idle speed is steady at about 750, cold idle sped on the...

    Death Wobble Gone!

This is kind of related. I didn't have any wobble but I did have a fair amount of play in my steering wheel. I found this fix on line for adjusting the steering box. Ten minutes later I felt like it was 1979 and my CJ was rolling of the lot for the first time! Here is the link...
