well it was a thought. I have just comprehensive on mine but its set as a Daily Driver so a crack in the windshield is hazardous so they replace it for free

my CJ had the same problem. me and my uncle changed the plugs, wires, distributor caps, and seliniods and it turns over fine now

When i was rebuilding my jeep i got my insurance to pay for a new windshield because it was "unsafe" to have a crack from te top all the way down. IT wouldnt hurt to call your insurance company about it.
