Any idea on how to remove these clips? The gray ones are giving me a road block.

Quick question before I drop it to install a new fuel pump. Do I need to buy any gaskets? I bought the whole assembly. the FP has a black plastic ring around the top. Is that THE gasket for the top of the tank or is there another gasket that I need?
