    Steering Stabilizer Questions

Have to agree with 3g up there. I have a high steer OTT steering system on my Jeep and it doesn't really need a steering shock. I don't have one and use 35" tires. If everything is dialed in right, no need. Before my high steer kit though, I had a Rancho and couldn't complain on it.

    Tow-in after lift

From what I was told after lifitng my Jeep, toe-in should be about 1/8" closer in in the front than the rear. If you have the reverse, then probably not so good.

I picked up the D35 alloy axles from Rocky Road Outfitters for the rear. I'm really happy with them Haven't had any problems in back either. Of course I only have the 4cyl engine which gives me a little extra safety buffer for those 35's.

I carry spare fronts on the trail... complete axles with Ujoints with 35's and a front locker. Like the man said, just don't hammer down too hard, know when to say when.

    Moab Spring Break

Its been awhile since my buddies and I have gone up to Moab for the Safari time. I've heard in recent years that you can't even camp there anymore with everything being closed down, or at least restricted to only a handful of campsites (not interested in KOA style campground). Anyone know if you...

Your problem might not be so much the width, but the knuckles and how your high steer kit mounts. I picked up the Rocky Road OTT High Steering kit for my Jeep and it is very specific to the axle and steering knuckles. We looked at a couple of D44s for the same thing, to upgrade. Won't work with...

Whats a good cheap winch comparison website?

Not saying anything about any particular winch. Keep in mind though that when you do NEED it--- it needs to work 100%. A long time ago (93-94ish) I had what I would call an inexpensive winch. Got stuck up in the Panamint mountains-- a long way from anywhere and in the days we just carried...

    YJ rear bumper

That one looks interesting. The thing that would concern me is the Ubolts on the tire carrier lock. Looks like it is thin diameter... like 1/4". I run 35's, I wonder if that would hold it shut when the going got rough.

Whoa! And I thought I was a Jeep fan. Sounds like you could save some dough investing in a Jeep dealership.

    YJ rear bumper

I don't see too much on rear bumpers for the YJ. Anyone got any good experience with one in the $500 or less range? A rear tire carrier would be a bonus. Appreciate it.

Pissed off at Rocky Road Outfitters

Re: ****ed off at Rocky Road Outfitters Man---Take a chill pill. Everyone I know has had a great experience with these guys which is why I bought from them. You maybe had a bad time, my spring over kicks butt and and I love my YJ now! The guys I know who had bought from them say the same...

Pissed off at Rocky Road Outfitters

Happy with Rocky Road Outfitters Gotta say I have had a completely opposite experience with the guys at Rocky Road. On advice from some friends, I picked up their SOA kit and High steer for my Jeep. I did alot of emailing with them beforehand and they really helped me understand the system and...
