1989 Wrangler YJ... No start, No Crank (Video)

So i just had my ignition control module replaced because my YJ would stop on me while running and afterward not turn on (turn the key, clicking noise, engine won't start)..fixed that.

So one day after driving fine for many weeks I try to turn my car on and there is no clicking of the starter. car won't start.

I check my battery is working by testing the headlights for dimming when i turn the ignition. The battery is fine. I'm thinking its the starter but i keep hitting solenoid with no results. (I just ordered a new starter, it's on its way. I hope it solves my problem)

On another note. I recently checked my engine oil and from the levels, i saw on the dipstick, I have to add more oil.

Everything I'm writing here I describe in the videos BTW if you guys don't feel like reading.

Just seeing this.
So if the starter was shorted or frozen the lights will dim just like a failing battery when you turn the key.
If you connections and grounds are clean it would either chatter or start.

Do you have to depress the clutch to start? Perhaps the clutch bypass switch is bad. In Tj not sure about early yj there is an empty fuse for clutch bypass. If you place a fuse in there it ignores the clutch switch. This us very dangerous as E starter can move the vehicle. But trying it to verify the switch is bad is an option.
Verify all the connections on Ign module are clean and tight.
It could be the ign switch. That is the key and tumbler. Do you feel clicks when you turn the key?

Which engine/trans (I didn't watch video) ?
Can you use a test light and wiring diagram , auto repair 101 ?

Check your relays under the hood if it's anything like my 87 it should be beside the battery they look like a little black box about 1 inch square.
