Dim Headlights

I replaced my stock headlights with some halos, and the actual bulbs are Silverstar Ultras. This combination should be relatively bright, but it isn't. The actual stock lights seemed brighter! I have done a rough alignment of the lights, all the connections are clean, and I have no other electrical issues. Under a full load, the alternator is putting out around 13.7 V.

Has anyone else had this issue, and what did you do to resolve it?

Thanks in advance,

Tim

I have an idea on why

If you did a direct swap using the stock electrical, that has constraints.
First the path goes through the multifunction switch that is resistive and a weak point. Second the wiring might not handle the higher current need over time.
The best solution is to run the new lights off a set of relays and use the existing hi bean and low beam as triggers for the relays. Also use better sockets
Those changes alone make stock lights brighter.

Second have your battery checked. Clean grounds and cable connections. Also check the light grounds.
Might also have the alternator checked the output should be 14.6 V when cold.
