on board air compressor

Decided maybe that's not the way to go, portable compressor makes more sense. Just used to air up 37" tires. Was just looking at the viair 440p compressor,150 psi inflates up to 37" tires. When airing down 37" tires to 15 psi for the trail, are bead lockers required ?

On a trail, esp if rock crawling, at 10-15 psi I would go with bead locks. Especially if running larger the wheel diameter. 15,16,17...
1% stretch is that much more diameter and easier to slip off.

Btw these are portable air pumps that run off 12 V.
Some use for lockers. Air ride lifts.
Many run lines to each corner so pneumatic tools can be used. With a small flex extension. For repairs or tire swapping.
Ive also seen larger holding tanks or home made tube bumpers as holding tanks.
One ran it to some well water tanks to pressurize water fir camping. They had a shower off the back bumper.

Been doing some research today. But the shower off the back bumper is a cool $hit winner.
