84 cj7 laredo rebuild page

I started this last year and have it almost complete and thought I would share my rebuild , first are some of what it looked like and as I started

next are some of the frame which I painted with por-15 and then some of the sheet metal I used to make rockers and replaced floor pans and repaired supports for floor and added thick plates in for roll bar support

next is were I shot an undercoating and spayed a liner in the tub and primer and paint , I stayed with the original 4 cyl. and T-5 transmission but rebuild all of it

now if I can get my windshield frame painted so I can install the new soft top and doors to see how it will heat in the winter of course I still have the hard top and full doors to finish but maybe I can get to driveing it for now

Nice jeep I didn't realize they ever put a 4 cylinder in a cj7 I restored one last year it had a fiberglass body so there was a lot less work but wish I would have taken more pictures

My dad bought a new jeep cj7 in 82 and it had the 151 iron duke 4cyl engine in it. tough little motor.

yea the 84 was the first year that the cj7 had the AMC 150/2.5 the earlier like 69jeepcj mentioned would have the iron duke

finally got the windshield and new soft top installed

other than a few odd an ends to finish and a good polishing its just about done
