Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival 2012

About the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival
The Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival is organized by the Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau with support from the Butler County Historical Society, Butler Downtown, other local organizations and a group of committed volunteers and Jeep enthusiasts. Together, they are creating a signature annual event celebrating Butler, Pa.'s role as the birthplace of the jeep. The Festival will take place in Downtown Butler and at the Big Butler Fairgrounds along Route 422, just west of Butler.

The inaugural event in 2011 attracted more than 1,300 Jeep participants from 25 states. Festival activities were attended by more than 30,000 spectators. The Festival was awarded a Guinness World Record for the Longest Parade of Jeeps.

Saturday Night Offers Fun for Everyone
What could be better than a long day of Jeep events? Getting together with other Jeepers, eating great food, listening to music, playing games and watching a Jeep event, of course! After the vendor booths and most Jeep activities end at 5 p.m., there is more to see and do!

Starting at 5 p.m., see a rock racing demonstration on the Jeep Playground. It's a chance to see professional rock racers from the "Rausch Creek RC Rocs Race Series" race against each other for the best time.

Then between 6 and 9 p.m., come watch and laugh as Jeepers listen to their "backseat drivers" and try to complete the Jeep Team Challenge obstacle course. Teams will drive blindfolded, play "broom ball" and attempt some other fun challenges. The best team will win a trophy and bragging rights for a year. The Jeep Team Challenge is sponsored by Pennsylvania National Guard and 4WD Hardware.

If you reserve your tickets online by July 22, you can fill
up on delicious food at The Great Pig Out, sponsored by Rugged Ridge. The menu will include tasty items like roasted pig, chicken, baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw, bread, rolls, and of course BBQ sauce! Dinner will be served between 5:30 and 8 p.m.

We're excited to welcome Butler's own band, Mass Transit. They play a great variety of music from the '50s to today. They will take the stage at 6 p.m. so be sure to spend some time listening and dancing!

For those of you who like to be more active, we also have some fun games planned. Play some volleyball, test your sports skills, talk to your new Jeep friends, or just come and relax and get ready for Sunday's activities!

Guess Who's Coming Back. . . .
That's right! The Jiffy Jeep Team is traveling all the way from Canada again to wow Jeepers. Last year, spectators were amazed when the team completely tore down and rebuilt a military jeep in less than four minutes! You won't believe it until you see it for yourself. The Jiffy Jeep Team performs both Saturday and Sunday at 10, 12, 2, and an extra performance at 4 on Saturday.

We still need more friends!
To those of you who purchased the 2nd annual Friends of the Festival print - thank you! To those who haven't - what are you waiting for?! Only 300 hand-signed and numbered 16" x 20" prints are available, each embossed with the Festival logo. The prints are $100 each (plus $4 shipping and handling) and include a certificate of authenticity. So far they are receiving rave reviews!
