fan issues II

as described in earlier post, wired as said but cut out in line fuses, one from the switch to the battery and one from the positive side of the fan to it's position at the relay. The fan worked. I drove the jeep for a little while to test it and it stopped working. Did I burn out the relay/ what should I do? the in-line fuses are the issue but it seems I need something there to make the fan operate.
puszzled.

You have posts in two areas.

What gage wire and what is the fan current rating?
How did you make the connections?

From your other post the relay connections were not correct.

Is this an ac helper or is it for cooling as well? Typically fans have two speeds. Normal cooling and higher speeds for AC.
If you swap the leads on the fan it will spin backwards. It may not matter when not moving but when moving it will.
