How do you convert a soft top?

Hi there, I just bought 97 Wrangler... and uhh... I feel so stupid... I don't know how to fold the top down??! Can someone pleaseeeee help me?

Remove the Side windows
Remove the Upper part of the doors (If you have 1/2 doors
Remove the rear window
un-hook the Lip plastic that is on the door surrounds
flip up the J-hooks that are behind the Sun visors (fold the visors down and to the side first)
Pull the sail panels out of the back lip and fold to the top of the roof
Un-hook the j-hooks
Pull the rear bow and began folding the top between the Bows
make sure you fold the plastic pieces near the front of the top in towards the center
make it as small as possible.


Or do it the way that most around Atlanta do
Un-hook the J-hooks and let it all fall back and leaving you looking like a old car with 1.5feet of canopy bundled up at the rear.

LOL That's not so dumb a question. Look at all the instructions L33 typed. IF you don't do them in that order it really sucks to be you. lol Getting a soft top off and folded right takes practice and time. Also took a videotape in my experience. lol

i've always just taken the entire top off... never worried about taking all the windows out... i just take it off and leave it home
