I need help installing a air cleaner assembly.. HELP!!!!

:roll: I just bought a air cleaner assembly for my cj7 (258) and realized I have not got the plastic sleeve that goes between it and the carb I have a two barrel carb on it (same kind that came in it new) it has a 2 5/8 inch neck flange I need some help on how to fabricate one and the instructions on how to put this thing on right????? any help would be appreciated thanks P.S yep I Know Im an idiot for not knowing this

Did you buy an air filter assembly for a 4barrel? If so, then the flange on that is probably a 5 1/8". Any parts store SHOULD have the plastic adapter to go from 2 5/8" to 5 1/8", those are the two most common sizes.
If you need a spacer of some sort that came factory on your Jeep, go see Bob at Big Wheel. His shop is right down the road from you in Hubert. He has a little private Junkyard with nothing but Jeeps in it, plus building custom 4 wheel drives is his business, so he's stripped down lots of stockers....he would probably have something like that laying around somewhere. Hell, go see him anyway. He usually has at least one really neat truck or Jeep down there. He used to have a black CJ sitting on 44" Boggers with a BUILT 496c.i. BB Chevrolet powering it. That was one bad mutha. :shock:
