Jeep Jamboree ?

Has anyone ever done one of these Jeep Jamboree pay trips? I was thinking about doing the Getaway to the Cumberlands in Oct. If anyone has been or knows someone that has, just wondering what you get for the $195 per driver and another $195 for the passenger. I read that they feed you and have trail guides and spotters though out the weekend. But other than that not much. Is this worth the money or will I be out there with a bunch of stockers that the money to throw away?

You'll probably be around alot of stockers. Depending on the area if there is hard stuff with by passes they might let you go the harder route if your rig is set up for it.....I did the rubicon run way back in Y2K and it was very $$$$, but they serve you GREAT food and your paying for all the staff to help you if needed. Just remember, they're job is to get as many rigs through without delaying the group..

I have been driving trails when Jeep Jamborees have gone through. The groups I experienced were large (30 vehicles) and slow as they progressed. Especially slow as they attempted obstacles.

It took a long time for them to recognize that others were on the trail and needed to "Play Through."

IMHO...
