I like the tread pattern, as they are siped and have wide blocks on the outside. Might be a good all around tire for a daily driver. For $109 each shipped though you might find a tire locally that you can see for yourself before buying. There are a lot of good well known 31" tires in that price range. I don't know how comfortable I'd be buying a tire online that I knew nothing about. I'd try to at least email the seller to find out who the manufacturor is, they are made in the US so it may be Cooper???

Yeah, I emailed him asking about treadwear and balancing. He said they're good for 50,000 miles at least and he would put them up against any mud tire on the market.................Of course, he is a salesman

RE: Mounting warn 8274 winch on CJ7

I think it looks pretty cool.

I couldn't even make guess as to treadwear, but as far as offroading goes.........they've got to pull better than Revo's :P

I think I'm going to try a set of Super Swamper Trxus on the TJ. They're cheap enough, and they work good for a daily driven rig.

The Trxus would be priced about the same, and they are a true 31" tall. I've seen them in action and they are definately worth the money.

I hear that!! The Revos are OK off-road - nothin' to write home about - but they are amazing on wet pavement. Never had a tire that sticks so well. I broke down and bought a set of these Laramie's, so I guess I'm going to have to slow 'er down a bit when it rains (except off-road, of course  ). I'll let y'all know how they do.

I'm ressurecting this old thread as a favor to a fellow member who pm'd me and as somewhat of an update on these tires. After 20k miles, I really love these tires. They bite really well off the pavement and have surprisingly good road manners. They also appear to be wearing very well (with regular rotation, of course) but I haven't done any measurements. Maybe we'll get some snow soon so I can see how they do in the white stuff! ;)

The inside tread looks a little tight, reminds me of the Swamper Thornbirds... go through some mud and they turn into a drag slick with side tread. I would find out how good they are at self cleaning before you buy.

Oops, I guess you bought them already, how are they in the mud?

isn't that the brand of cigarettes on the Simpsons? The tread design is pretty cool, seems like I've seen a variant somewhere, but I can't put my finger on it...
