If you have a key symbol on your instrument cluster that comes back on after a self test, this would mean that the SKIM module has detected a theft event. This in turn will shut down the circuits on the PCM to prevent the vehicle from starting. First ,see if the key you have is black or gray. Skim keys are gray in color. If you have a black key and have a skim vehicle, that should only be used for a door NOT for the ignition. If you dont have a gray key, you will need to tow the vehicle to the dealer and purchase a skim key and have them cut it. Make sure you bring a proof that you own this vehicle along with a valid identification. Its the law that you should provide this proof before a dealership can cut you a key. This new key will need to be programmed into the skim module via the DRB3 and the dtcs needs to be erased. The programming can only be done from a dealer due to a security pass code that is required to access the PIN number thru the Chrysler data base.
BTW, Welcome to Jeepz.com and dont forget to put the W on the word Wrangler, it's politically incorrect.
