I have an 82 CJ with a 258 inline 6 and a T4 transmission. Recently, the transmission has started to pop into neutral when I take my foot off the the accelerator. In fact, when I am parked with motor off and I shift into any gear, the shift lever tends to "spring" back into the neutral position. Aside from the obvious, I'm not entirely sure what to look for when I pull the transmission out to inspect. Any info would be appreciated.
