messed up my muffler, need help

i was wheeling yesterday and i tore the shield that protects the muffler, its like a sheet of metal or something...anyway, i dont have or know anyone who welds so im gonna just duct tape it back on, but i need a more perminate solution asap. anyone got some advice ?[addsig]

If it's a heat shield, the glue on the duct tape is gonna melt and you're gonna have a nice sticky mess under there. Just go to a muffler shop or any garage, I'm sure they'll do it for a case of beer or something.[addsig]
