measuring a rear driveshaft???

ok guys...i installed a AA SYE and made a spare driveshaft out of a cheerokee front shaft. this is only intended to be my trail spare and is a little too short but will work to get me home. So i have to measure for a tom woods rear drive shaft..

is it center cap to center cap? does it matter what position of the yoke is?

how should i measure the lenght of this driveshaft...i dont want to end up with a DS that is too short or too long.. thanks!

position both yokes so that the ujoint seats are horizontal from each other on each yoke.... or basically so that the seats are positioned parallel with the ground... then measure cap center to cap center
