89 yj clutch/transmission issues

89 yj with 4.2 and stock 5spd. The clutch pedel is soft running or not. Changed and bled properly the clutch fluid with no success. Got it home by starting it in gear and remaining in first. What could be wrong? Cooked clutch? Clutch was fine before, but fluid level was low. Need some help.

slave cylinder? worn out pressure plate or clutch?

Slave cylinder is probably shot. That would explain the low clutch fluid too.

Check for leakage around the master cylinder (on both sides of the firewall). If it's not the master, it's the slave. And that sucks, cause an 89 YJ has the internal slave. Gotta pull the transmission to replace it.
