AMC 20 identification

YO how in the world would i go about removing smog pump emissions crap on my 82 cj7 258,...i just installed weber k551 carb. some smog stuff isn't even used anymore, some peeps just said or told me to remove smog pumpps cause it isn't really even that neccessary and it is easy to take off and also will give me boosts in power like out the buthole, anyone lemme know peaccce!

Well, I don't know about power boosts out the buthole, but I'm sure it'll give you some. I took the air pump outa my '80 CJ but I don't know if its any different that yours. I removed the air injection manifold and reused the bolts that held it in and just plugged the holes in those bolts with smaller nuts and bolts. The Air pump should just unbolt and fall off. I then preceded to plug everything up that my Jeep didn't need to run. Pretty much the only thing I have running to my MC2150 carb is the vac advance, the fuel line, and a little PCV line that had nowhere else to hook up.
